Punjab Govt Announces Anti-Harassment Committees in Schools-Lahore, October 11, 2025 (Saturday) — The Punjab government has announced the establishment of anti-harassment committees in all government schools across the province.

According to official sources, the concerned authorities have been directed to form these committees immediately to ensure a safe and respectful learning environment for female students. The decision was taken on the instructions of the Punjab Chief Minister in connection with the International Day of the Girl Child.

CM Punjab Directs Schools to Establish Anti-Harassment Committees for Girls’ Safety

Each school will have a committee of at least three teachers, with mandatory female representation. The committees will be responsible for addressing complaints of sexual harassment confidentially and effectively.

Anti-Harassment Committees Made Mandatory in All Punjab Government Schools

Furthermore, the record of all complaints will be forwarded to the District Education Authority, while every school committee must submit its report to the Education Department within 30 days.
